What is B Corp certification?

B Corp Certification is an integrated business certification that assesses and verifies a company's social, environmental, and governance impact against the B Lab Standards.  

Companies complete the B Impact Assessment, which evaluates governance, workers, community, environment and business practices.

Certification requirements depend on company size, sector and industry, ranging from 20 to 124 requirements to be certified

Two type of requirements:

  • Basic Requirements: Eligibility, Legal requirements, Risk Profile

  • Themes Requirements: based on 7 themes

  • Recertification

    Phase 4: Validation and Submission

    Final review of the application:
    • Preparation of supporting documentation
