COMPAGNIE HET ZOUTE

Who are they?

A historic real estate player based in Knokke-Heist, Compagnie Het Zoute has been shaping high-end projects in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France for several generations. More than a developer, the company positions itself as a true creator of sustainable living spaces, where architectural quality, environmental respect, and social integration go hand in hand.

In 2024, Compagnie Het Zoute reached a new milestone by placing sustainability at the core of its strategy. Its ambition: to structure its ESG commitment in a coherent and transparent way, aligned with the growing expectations of its stakeholders. Initially subject to the CSRD directive, the company adapted its approach following the Omnibus law, while maintaining alignment with European standards.

MISSION

ESGlogic accompanied Compagnie du Zoute in building the foundations of a structured and ambitious ESG strategy. The journey began with a comprehensive carbon footprint, including scope analysis and a reduction plan. At the same time, a double materiality assessment was conducted through stakeholder mapping and an analysis of impacts, risks and opportunities, resulting in the identification of six priority topics.

To give structure and transparency to this roadmap, the company prepared its first ESG impact report (2025), highlighting key performance indicators and concrete projects. Governance was strengthened through the adoption of a Code of Ethics, a Supplier Code of Conduct and the first elements of an Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance and long-term alignment with best practices.

Finally, these efforts were recognized externally with the achievement of the Bronze EcoVadis medal, a first milestone that validates the performance and sets the tone for continuous improvement.
